Suggest a decent computer upgrade for me please!!!!

Hi guyz,

I am using the following configuration right now:

Processor - Q6600
Motherboard - MSI G31
Graphics Card - GTX 260
Ram - 4GB DDR2 800 Mhz
SMPS - Corsair HX 620/Tagan BZ 800
Cabinet - Antec 900
Display - Dell U2311H (Bought recently)
Keyboard - Lycosa Mirror Edition
Mouse - Razer DA + Goliathus Alpha speed

As I bought the monitor recently, I am finding it hard to play games for greater than 1440*900 resolution. My system is not supplying the proper FPS. So I need to upgrade. Also, in near future, I might go multiple monitors set up. So, please suggest accordingly, what components I should upgrade. I will be using my system for another 2-3 years minimum.

And also, how much can I get for my old cpu?

Budget is flexible. Please suggest the components so that I can plan to save money accordingly. I am not in a hurry. A couple of months would be of no harm.

Also, if I plan to use my Q6600 for another 2 years, what motherboard I should opt for so that I can use DDR3 along with good overclockability option?
 
No point in investing in a mobo for Q6600. Its already 3 generations old. So better wait and see how the AMD bulldozer CPUs turn out and then you can decide accordingly.
