I bought this phone(N70ME) a yr. ago and so far i have been using the supplied earphones to listen to music. So pls. suggest me something that will be good for music(atleast better than the supplied ones).Budget is 1k. Can be extended to 2k if it's worth it.

Also one more thing---- it rains a lot here. So is there any water proof casing for the N70ME ???

EP 630's are the best i use them with ma n73 ,ipod and ma new Creative ZEn they are awesome u could the tight bass when u listen to songs on these :cool2: ,just go ahead and pick up EP 630 locally or u can go for one thru KMD here Creative EP-630 (KMD)

The EP-630 is good, but frankly I don't like them (my opinion !) I like bass, but the darn thing has ONLY bass, its sound is too narrow and its poor midrange puts me off. If you want a much better midrange but lesser bass (but tighter than the EP-630) then go for the Audio Technica Ck5 for around 700 bucks from Planet M. If you are not in a major metro, you can ask someone to buy it and ship it to you.

Another option is the Sennheiser MX-50 for abt 1000 bucks. It has slightly lesser bass than the EP-630 but it has a much better midrange. (IMHO the bass of the Senn is more than sufficient for my tastes. But I don't know about the CK5 and i am basing my post on reviews of it.)

And finally if you want to wait a bit, You can pick up a Crossroads Mylar X3i from Jaben.net (Singapore website with free shipping to India). It has a nice tight bass, a smooth midrange and an excellent soundstage (Soundstage is the ability to visualize the placement of musical instruments and vocalists in a music recording). You get it for $57 with free shipping to India. (Takes about a week for shipping.)

Please note the Crossroads Mylar X3i, AT CK5 and EP-630 are canal phones (goes right into your ear and blocks out the noise) while the Senns are regular in ear phones (like your N70 earphones). So keep that in mind. (Some people do not like sticking things into their ears, plus you can't hear much so there are chances of accidents if you are walking.)

Also I am arranging a GO for the stuff from Jaben.net if you want to wait. (Should be slightly cheaper, but you will have to wait for almost 2 weeks)
