Suggest a domain registration and a web hosting site ...

I would like to have a personal web site. Years ago I used bigrock, would you recommend them or is there a better alternative now ?

Also at that time I manually coded all the html, css and javascript for my site. I'm totally out of touch so is there a easier/better alternative now, pref free ?

For domain, you could use sav, cloudflare, porkbun or alibaba depending on features, price and extension.

probably better to use a wordpress site - free or hosted. Bigrock / any other known host
can be used with domain name from namesilo / namecheap etc. I'd avoid godaddy ...
