Hi friends i am a software pro. and my age is 23. I am well built (infact 80 kgs)and 5"7 height. I am planning to buy a new bike to replace my HH Passion which has served me for 6 Years.(Gr8 bike IMO). As i googled, i found out the options

1. HH CBZ xtreme

2. Pulsar 150 cc

3. Honda UNicorn

And the newest members to add to the list are

Hound unicorn dazzler and Hero Honda Hunk.

I am looking for a bike with good looks, Best riding comfort(the most important) and good mileage(thts what every one is looking for).

Please give your honest suggestions ! Budget 70 k .

fazer or fzs

No one beats yamaha....
But the problem with fz or pazer is my MOM wont find it comfortable because of that small back seat ! Its very small when compared to all 150 cc bikes ! So i totally ignored it !

Go for the Dazzler. Engine miles ahead of competition, good mileage, and yes, now the Unicorn also has the fancy stuff :)

from the choices u have mentioned, it has to be the CB Unicorn Dazzler. Don't even think abt the HH Xtreme and the P150 please. The engine and ride quality on the dazzler or even the unicorn is milestones ahead.

K now as per your suggestions if i go for unicorn there wud be two options,

1. Unicorn CB
2. Dazzler

Tell me the pros and cons of two.

I also heard the self start version of dazzler lacks the kick start ! But what if the battery charge goes down ! I cant even start the bike ! Will it be the case ?

these days no-kick is what's in vogue!

yamaha fz series, new honda stunner also don't have kick start, but they won't give u trouble since they have a maintenance free battery...

just top up the distilled water in time and ur good to go,u'll face no problems trust me.

been using fz-16 since a year, never gave me starting problems even once.

they probably use some good technology that's supposed to be fail-safe!

Nothing can beat the Yahama fz. So smooth to ride feel like driving a car. Excellent shocker and build quality. Though you are right rear seat is not big enough. Now choice left one and only Unicorn. Unicorn CB looks better to me than Dazzler in looks. Dazzler does not look like 150CC bike. But as there is lots of changes have been made in Dazzler so you better go with it only.

Great to hear ! But performance wise and mainly comfort wise which is good.. Unicorn CB vs Dazzler

Performance wise the Dazzler's better since it's lighter than the Unicorn. Comfort wise the Unicorn is better. The handlebars are set at a much relaxed position as compared to the Dazzler.

I called up two unicorn showrooms today and what they said was heartbreaking. They said they accept unicorn bookings once every four months. Since the bookings were closed very recently, i have to wait another four months for booking Unicorn CB . On the other hand, the dazzler black takes only 20 days after a instant booking. Should i fall for their words ? Coz i enquired two showrooms, they both said the exact same thing !

^^there is nothing like once in 4 months, if you are in a metro-ish city

Dazzler is to one to buy out of the two. No doubt about it.
Superb, very silent engine, best gearbox, good looks, rear disk....very good average.

(Another good, IMO better, bike is Bajaj Pulsar 135LS, if you don't care for the top speed. better average than dazzler)

Having said that, You must know, both Unicorn versions lack the sporty feel...and I'm not talking about the sporty riding position aka rear-sets.
They do feel like upgraded Splendors..just not get the feel of having a powerful bike...no rush to redline.
Just to know what I mean test ride RTR or even Pulsar 135.

About the Pulsar135. That bike is a modded XCD135 with a 10k higher price tag. I have personally driven both (and I own a XCD135 :) ) and the performance difference is only that the except the XCD is tuned for acceleration and the Pulsar is tuned more for Top Speed (XCD starts losing power at 70, Pulsar starts losing power at 80). If you want comfort and mileage then clearly the XCD135 is better than the Pulsar135 then. Also the RTR has quite a raised rear section. I dont think the TC's mother would like that.

I recommend the CB Unicorn Dazzler. Just don't take that bike in silver  ....

Nuthing faster in the stable of your choices than the Xtreme. Trust me it is VFM. I used the Yamaha, but it lacks space, power, average and is still not VFM. Either take the Unicorn if you want average. or take Extreme if you can comp on average and need pickup and great speed. Xtreme give approx 40-42 per liter despite the high pickup. Make your choice wisely. Yamaha is not a wise choice. .... unless you can fit your GF behind...........LOL

mileage wise fz is a strict no no....it gives below avg mileage.

perhaps go for the dazzler, since honda is known for it's refinement,so i guess it'll be better in riding comfort, mileage is also pretty decent.

speed wise u cud go for xtreme...

so u have 2 choices

top choice THE DAZZLER

second choice CBZ XTREME,acc. to me!

Thanks for the reply ! It seems yo r the only one who s interested in giving out your opinions ! Any way since i am concentrating more on mileage and comfort rather than power, i think dazzler s the best choice 4 me. I told abt this to my father. He seems to be worried about two points

1. Rear discs ... Is that a good thing or a bad one
2. Most importantly, no kick start...(Whether it wud present a problem during rainy season and at times when i dont use my bike for a long period)

how about considering rtr 160??? though unicorn dazzler is the best choice you have(good mileage and awesome engine in 150cc segment). BUT it doesn't come with a saree guard(one of the post u mentioned your mom wnt like fz) if you are planing to ride with your mom as pillion.

Good thing since disc brakes fade at a much slower rate than drum brakes. They offer better braking force and feedback.Just be extremely careful riding in the rain. You dont want to lock the front or rear tyre and skid off.

2. Most importantly, no kick start...(Whether it wud present a problem during rainy season and at times when i dont use my bike for a long period)

Wont be much of a problem. You can always roll start the bike in case the self doesnt work. I have been around Pulsars 220/200s and havent had the issue with them. Had this issue with an Fz though.
