Storage Solutions Suggest a good DVD-R/DVD+R for reliable backup

I need to buy a 10 pack DVD-R/DVD+R to backup my one of the most important data(pics / videos etc) and make their multiple copies (2 to 3). Here are my queries.

1. What is the difference between +R and -R and which should i buy (DVD5 only)??
2. Please list the companies/brands in order of preference. Will be buying offline by going to anupam stationary store.
3. Best way to store those DVD-Rs after i write data on them ?? Any special type

u can buy verbatim made in japan from dvdstoredelhi in te market

best way is to keep them in slim jewel case.
