It's Nothing Personal

Budget: ~5k

Requirements:
  • Good grip.
  • Decent build quality, must last some abuse.
  • Minimum dead zone at the center.
  • Proper controls on the stick itself so that keyboard/mouse use is at a minimum.

I would be using it mainly for Flight Simulator X. HAWX and other similar games should also be fun to play with it, but the main intended use is for simulation.

I think you can look into these two options -->

http://www.smcintern...mart&Itemid=465 --> MadCatz Cyborg V.1 Stick.

http://www.smcintern...mart&Itemid=465 --> Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X.

In my opinion the Thrustmaster is better because it supports a lot of established simulators, right out of the box. Rest is upto your preference, Sire.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

On a secondary note, do you play combat flight OR standard flight simulators?

I mostly play flight sims like FSX. My cousin would be getting the X-Plane 10 after a few months, so I can try that out too later. But I also play combat flight like DCS sometimes. Thrustmaster is the only decent joysticks we can get here I guess. Any idea of whether I can get other brands like Saitek etc...?

I'm willing to put in upto 10k now
