currently on the 8600GT

played COD4 1280X1024 ..everything maxed out..4X AA..n stuff..uer smooth gameplay

same with Pro street ....but with 8X AA

cod does not go beyond 4XAA did not bother playing with Nvidia panel cause the game was playing with any kinda lag ....puuurrrfect gameplay...soon to try GOW and Crysis

as arnold says....get the 8600GT now....you can play all the current games easily and when 9 series is out put your money and get a really kicka$$ card ...88 is coming to its EOL...9 series expected Feb'08.
 
get the cheapest 8600gt out there in d market..should b around 5 to 5.5k (galaxy is one of the cheapest).

jus keep d rest of ur budget in the safe n abt 7-8 months later sale of dis one n get a 9 series mid ranger.
 
dont get 8600gt boss

it's a wastage of money....if u r thinking of keping urself busy till 9 series then better get old card from ppl upgrading now at 5-6k

at 6k u'll get a old 7900gt which will dance around 86gt

and 86gt simply cant handle any dx10 game even at 800x600
