Storage Solutions Suggest a good portable DVD burner

My needs are to burn DVD DL's in bulk..(15-16 in one go)
my laptop rom has started giving me alot burn failures..
so,i am considering buying a external dvd burner..any suggestion.
and while you are at it..
can anyone tell me out of experience..what is the safe limit of burning dvds back to back?
i have just wasted 6 DVD-DL's in a row...

You can go for Plextor PX-880U and if this model is not available then buy HP dv556s or LG GP08NU20 and write DL at minimum speed i.e. 2.4x(recommended) or 4x(max) and verify every disc.....

Which DL you have ?
