Suggest a Good Screen Reader

One of my friend is doing an Online Course and he finds reading through all the text very tiring :ohyeah: and is looking for some Screen Reading software, so that all he has to do is just listen.

Now I am a total noob with this kind of stuff so any suggestions are welcome.
 
OT: You can use 'Clear Type' for your screen font. You need to set it in Display Properties/ Appearance/ Effects/ 2nd check box (for wxp)
 
But afaik Adobe reader would work only with pdf and his module is online directly from website, so he needs something which can read directly from whatever is on screen something like JAWS
