4k 4670, 4.5k 9600GT, 5.5k 9800GT, 6.5k 4770, 7k 4850, 7.5k GTS 250 approx prices.

:bleh:

plz mention SMPS and Monitor in main post.

Dude first tell us ur resolution at which u play as u can get many cards in 4-7k range.

Sapphire HD4670-4.3k(Good for 19inch and below)

Sapphire HD4850-7k(Good for 22inch and below)

but 9600GT is better for lower resolution. Its been called the perfect GPU for low resolutiuons like 1280*960. Anyway as you have an oced proccy, and goin for a GPU, ull need to get a good PSU.

Gigabyte 460 for 2.4k suits your system well and is future proof too considering some upgrades like HDD, ram and the likes.

The ATI Radeon HD4670 comes for around 4.6k, the HD4770 comes for around 7k and the HD 4850 comes around 7.5k Anything less than that goes under the budget category and aren’t as good performers as the ones mentioned here. So, if you’re going for one, try to go for one of these according to your budget.

If you are sticking with your current smps i suggest you go with ATI 4670 or a 4770 if you find one at resonable price.

Aviod 4850 or 9800 GT or above with your current Smps, else upgarde your smps and then plan for a upgrade.

if you want to be bit future proof go for 4850(6.8k) with a better psu(like corsiar 400cx (3.3k)).4850 will be more thn enough for your current system - but it will play future game better then the any other mentioned in the list. Total investment = 10k

But if you want to stick with just what you need right now - then go for 4670- this card will run well with your current psu., Total investment = 4.3k . there is very high probability of getting this card absolute within next 6 month - so you may need to sell this card and go for a new card + psu

so its your call

if you are going to upgrade your monitor then --> 4850 + A good PSU, if not then 4670 for 4.2k is more than enough for resolution of 1152x864

whatever card u buy, c dat u dont buy atis, since dere are much issue/failure rates in ati radeon cards. Better go for geforce. I think u can go for the gts series...

^^^^^^^^ 6 @#%#@$ :O

Don't try to confuse people unnecessarily. I won't say much as there's been plenty of occasions of fight over the ATI/nVIDIA issues.

guys i dunno y ppl call HD4850 a future proof card..more den that in this range HD4770 is a future proof card(in true sense nothing is future proof)..as i said in some oder forum too "though a single HD4850 is around 5-10% faster den HD4770 but if u wanna CF ur card in future den HD4770 CF will give u much better performance den HD4850 CF cuz its GDDR5 based as compared to GDDR3 of HD4850..n even a single HD4770 will give u performance "almost" equivalent to HD4850 without any considerable difference n sometimes even better too..on lower resolutions HD4770 rocks..it runs cooler n also consume less power so it doesn't need a costly PSU..its a bit cheaper den HD4850 too..so all in all my vote goes for HD4770 cuz HD4850 isn't as strong as it shld b against HD4770"

Id say go for GTS250

I would have suggested HD4770 but obviously not when it is selling for more than the price of HD4850 :\

GTS250 is better den bth HD4770 n HD4850 but he'll need to buy a gud PSU separate for it which will stretch his budget a lot as GTS250 will cost him 7.3k itself

btw few days ago when i checked their price in Nehru Place(Delhi), MSI HD4770 was of 6.5k n Palit HD4850 was of 7k
