I'm going to buy a headphone on Monday and I think I'll buy the Creative Aurvana Live, if it's available. But was wondering if there is any better alternative available. I atm use a XB300, which I loved, but done with on ear headphones and their sound loss, so 'over the ear' is a must, as well as closed-back design. Budget is strictly limited to 7.5k. I was going for the XB500, but it's an open-back designed unit, which I don't want. It'll be used on my desktop only, for movies mainly, music then and gaming.
I'm a bass-head btw, the reason I'm asking here instead of Head-fi is because I don't need an audiophilic advice.
Feedbacks are greatly welcome.

P.S.: I have brand fascination, so anything with Skull, Brain or Steel is not my thing. Hope you understand ;)

Saurav.

Anything guys? I can't find the CAL anywhere! So I increased my budget and eyeing the V-Moda Crossfade LP, is that a good option? or any better alternatives out there?

Shure 750DJ is pretty bassy & should be within your budget. V Moda headphones are not quite comfortable to wear due to the stiff pads & unusual shape.

Stretch your budget and get an ATH-M50 or maybe a used one under 7k.. Nothing satisfies a true bass head (not the booomy bass lovers) like M50 does under 10-11k.

Fischer Audio FA-011.

Great for music. Open so much more airy than the M50 making it better for gaming and movies.

The M50 is a good can at about 5000, anything more and I'd pass on them.
