Hi all :)

Need a laptop as a download rig, but should be decent enough to play the HD rips which I download

Budget : As low as possible
Requirement : Downloading, Watching 4gb Hd-rips

Source: India or USA(If international warranty)

TIA

a dual core will easily handle ur 720p HD movies. On a side note if a hardware supported video decoding card is cheap enough then you may opt for that also.

hey guys, i bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 with T6500 2.1 C2D, but it still cannot play even 720P movies without loosing audio sync, its frustrating really, i dont know wt i should do, i tried installing CoreAVC, playing it in KMp, VLC evrything nothing works, i guess, the CPU isnt powerful enough.

why are you getting it from US ??Any Acer core 2 duo with intel 4500 HD will do.

sometimes too may codec pack leads to sluggish playback :P

Samsung NP-R518-DA03IN is available here a delta chennai for 26.5k

The Specifications:

15.6 inch HD LED backlit display , T3400, 2GB 800 MHz,

160GB, silvernano isolation keyboard with spillproof, Bluetooth,

well, my compaq with a lowly t3200 and intel onboard is able to cope up with 720p reasonably well.I dont think that dell will fail with hd. there might be some other issues.

^^ yeah agree.....even my ati X1250 can handle those 720p 4gb rips , even the Intel 4500MHD .

get a cheap lappy and buy a 22-24 inch LCD monitor and enjoy those BD rips :).
