I am per-emptively opening this thread to see what options i have for a new microwave over. The one we are using has been working well for past 3 years. It is of samsung brand and today somehow its center (which makes the plate rotate) burned. Check this thread <--Click
Requirements are as follows..
1. Not very big but not very small either.
2. Should be able to see the food inside when it is in operation. (I have seen microwaves in my office where i cannot look inside at all even with the light on). This is required for cases where say milk is being boiled and i need to shut off the microwave to avoid spillage.
3. In the 3 years we owned the current microwave, we have never used it to "cook" any food. It is mostly heating food/milk/water etc. At the most sometimes to boil things like corn etc.
I do not have a budget because i do not know what is appropriate one since the existing microwave was a gift.
I also do not know the convection and non-convection thing when it comes to microwaves and how does it affect anything. If it is not needed for my purpose and lessens my cost, i am ok with that.
