hi guyz .. m frm mumbai.
want a motherboard under 12 k for AMD.
have decided to take AMD X4 Phenom 9950
Can u guys suggest me a good motheboard plz..
want to take as soon as possible.:)
thanks in advanced.:)

You don't need to spend that much on an AMD motherboard.

Why are you going AMD when the best price/performance ratio is that of Intel? AMD has a few very specific advantages, but you need to know that before buying. In any case, if your CPU and mobo budget is 20K, you could actually do much better with an Intel anyway.

i believe he would like to hav a lil assurance of am2+ board being a lil future proof compared to lga775...

though...the requirements are really necessary to be specified in order to hav a better suggestion from members.

knidly state ur requirements n the rest of the components u have decided to go wid it.

What future proof, they have just started to catch Kentsfield performance, clock to clock, Yorkfield is still ahead. Future or now Intel is ahead, buy best avl now. Phenom II is only worthy for people who r already stuck on AMD platform.

i meant the socket compatibility of existing am2/am2+ wid am3...

as wid core2 he will be spending that load of money on out of production lga775

the requirements are for gaming.. a lot video rendering and should hav atleat 2 pci slots as i want to add harware..

and how is the mobo Asus m3n-h/hdmi and Asus m3a-h/hdmi performances??

Get MSI 790GX if you really want to spend that much , else Jetway 790GX HA07 Hummer is the way to go for :D

Get a black ed. instead :)

Honestly, Sidhu this is no longer true. If you have gone through HWBox review, you will see that Phenom II are quite a match for Yorkfields. The best thing about them is that AMDs platform cost is less than that of Intel's.
Fine, I would not say that AMD is ahead of Yorkfield's but if someone goes ahead with Phenom II, it won't be a bad choice at all.

BTW, ajinkya_adhav, you wait till Jan 9 before buying the mobo. On Jan 8 we will have proper reviews of Phenom II and that will make your choice clear.

Well if you want mobo with onboard grapix then u can also look for gigabyte- GA-MA790GP-DS4H its arnd 10k ...its a fantastic board.

Without onboard gpu- gigabyte- GA-MA790FX-DS5 it will cost u arnd 11.5 .

Well wud suggest you these gigabyte board over Asus :@

m plannin to go for dis config

AMD X4 9950 BE

MSI DKA790GX Platinum

Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB DDR2 2X2GB

MSI HD 4670 DDR3 512mb

BENQ E2200HD

any changes guyzzzz

why such a costly mobo?

why not save some and get a better display adapter instead?

just curious.

I'd reckon the 790x offering from MSI, the CF F board. For below 6K should serve you well. Got two x16 so even if in future you need CF you can do that.

Not much performance difference between FX and X either.

^^^How much for the MSI DKA790GX Platinum mobo?

If my guess is rite then that mobo should be around 10 grand which i dont think is worth it.
