i need a good with heatsink cheap motherboard for my 12400f
requirements :
lga 1700
ddr4 , 4-ram slots, if possible i can also got with 2 ram slot as now ddr4 is cheap, i already bought a ddr4 ram so
2 m.2 slots
with reasonable good heatsink so that i can upgrade to a better cpu in the future
i can buy a motherboard from Rs9000 to Rs 12000, maybe 13000 not sure , its my dads money

i have a tight budget, i thought to go with am4 but i now have a arc a750 so i might as well try intel cpu for better compatibility and lower power consumption of gpu

Something good - MSI Pro B760M A WiFi - 14k

Bare minimum - MSI B760M Bomber WiFi - 10k

2x 16GB RAM is more than enough for most people. It is a dead platform & considering issues in 13th & 14th gen CPUs, better to avoid them.

OP, post your budget here and TE will help you get more out of minimum !!!
Intel 12th Gen is very good but dead platform if you are frequent upgrader or plan to upgrade in next 2-3 yrs.

@OMEGA44-XT I didn't hear Intel 13-14th Gen issue after Intel Releases some patch/software/bios etc. in 2024 end., if any, please update here so future buyers (like me) may totally avoid it.

I hope you know that 12400F won't have a display output w/o a GPU.

Anyways that 14k mobo is good, can check Hardware Unboxed's VRM test. B660 mobos are mostly same as B760, so older tests are valid.

really no, im a newbie, i had thought about 5600 ryzen , is it the same right , it too wont have a display right?

12400f you can get for around 8k or cheaper with card discounts.
Bomber B760 is good BUT I think it has only 2 RAM slots.
ASUS Tuf B760M-E D4 Ddr4 has 4 ram slots @ 11-12k after card discounts.

B760 comes with both DDR4 and DDR5 so be carefull.

i guess nowadays it doesnt matter if its 2 ram slot , as ddr4 is pretty cheap and by the time i upgrade it will be much more cheaper

Yes, no display output on R5 5600, but R5 7600 has an iGPU. The i5 12400 is still a good budget CPU/

DDR4 RAM prices won't necessarily get cheaper. Demand for DDR5 is increasing as all new PCs are DDR5. Look at HDDs, their prices have been slowly rising up in past 2 years. 2TB 7200RPM WD Blue used to be 4.5k or lower in early 2022, now 5.5k is a good deal.

about the motherboard, when i see some build videos of intel where they use a motherboard with 2 ram slot, with stock cooler , the ram clearance is pretty low, i will be using stock cooler until temp rises so father will buy it, mostly if intel stock cooler is fine, i wont buy a aftermarket one

For gaming, stock cooler will suffice. Temps will hit 90C at times in certain games, but I observed no throttling. A budget cooler like AG400 is more than enough, if you buy it later.
