Suggest A Netbook

I need to buy a netbook for a friend with a max budget of 13k, since it is a netbook

Basic Uses :

1. Reading/Editing Documents
2. Occasional Movie Viewing (SD)
3. Web Browsing
4. Webcam

The Atom one would suffice i guess. Also, screen size should atleast be 30 cms.

Please suggest a good make within the restricted budget.

I would suggest you to get Samsung net book within that range... Else get a notebook if he rise the budget a little higher:-$, may be within 18k..

Also i noticed in some of the basic netbooks that the OS was not included. How does one install the OS ?

Does windows 7 work well on Intel Atom and 1 GB ram if we install via USB ? No driver issues I hope ?

nope, no issues..

buy a license else there are netbook customized iso's available.

but please use a proper license!

You will need to install Windows 7 using a pen drive. If another computer is available with Windows, there is a tool released by MS to do the needful.

Yup, install with flash drive of minimum 4gb capacity,,, and no issues with w7...

Some netbook comes with dos or Linux preinstalled, just format everything and it'll be fine
