is 3G a must have ???

Your options are Nokia 3600 Slide, Nokia 5310 XM, Nokia 5220 XM, SE W580i
 
3G is still very new to India and Plan Cost is very high now....so it may not be an important requirement now...(May be important in near future)
 
Try the Samsung Star S5230...my friend got it for 9.5k from Ezone (Mumbai) with 4GB Mem CarD..!! :clap: :clap:
