i waste about an hour and half while travelling to and from work everyday. so want to utilize that time to listen to songs or watch some anime series or movies i have.

After reading many previous posts here, i'm thinking of getting the cowon a3. might be slightly more than 15k but i dont mind.

what do u guys suggest in this budget? any better player than the cowon a3?

If bought from india, A PSP + 16 gb card = 8.5k + 7k = 15k, best thing ever
US/JApan, A PSP + 16 gb card = 7k + 6k = 13k

india = psp + 4gb card = 8.5k + 2.5 k = 11k
usa/japan = psp + 4gb card = 7k + 1k = 8k
psp = best pmp ever
 
^^it isnt exactly pocketable is it?? creative vision W will be a terrific option, large storage plus great screen + fantastic sound quality
 
i read in some previous post that we have to buy separate plugins for the archos for certain features to work properly. the creative and cowon just work directly out of the box.
 
How about an iPod Touch?

Outstanding feature set, superb playback capabilities and amazing touchscreen UI, it doesn't get any better than this.

Just demo the device somehow, if you haven't already and i'm sure you're gonna love it unless you hate Apple just for the heck of it.
 
^^ Can you install the games and apps that are designed for iphone on the ipod touch??? i know that some apps will not work(eg.apps that req. GPS will not work) but what abt. others?? And more importantly can you install these apps downloaded from torrents ???

iPhone and iPod touch operate on same platform i.e. OS X.

So yes, all apps designed for iPhone work on an iPod Touch.

Only differences between an iPod touch and iphone 3G (barring few cosmetic differences) are - a phone, GPS, 3G and ofcourse the 2MP Cam.

And an iPod touch is an absolutely VFM device unlike an iPhone 3G.

And more importantly can you install these apps downloaded from torrents ???

Sorry, you are out of luck here. Those won't work on any machine except which they were downloaded on.

You need to have a valid Apple iTunes store account even if you want to purchase the free apps, of course you won't be billed for that.

No, AFAIK unless you jailbreak.

Yes you need a CC. An indian CC can only be used for an Indian itunes store account.
