PC Peripherals suggest a power supply , GPU

Hi ,

here is the config i am buying budget 35k

processor - intel quad core 8300
mobo -- gigabyte g44
ram -- 4gb
HD -- 1TB
cabby --- zebronics warhawk
rom --- LG
Monitor -- Benq g24
GPU -- ATI 4850
PSU ?????

Budget below 3k

Please suggest me a power supply that will be future proof for my rig
i have thought of gigabyte 460W
Also i dont see many ppl talking about quad core processors....how AMD is better???

ALSO please suggest me which make of ATI 4850 card should i take

PSU - try to get a corsair...you can never go wrong with one of those...
Not sure of the latest prices back in India...

Which Intel Quad are you talking about...do you have a model-no.
And which AMD are you trying to compare it with?

Check the benchmarks and reviews yourself from sites like tom's hardware and anandtech.com :)

You get corsair cx400 for 3.2k with 3 years warranty but now you get seasonic s12-380 for 3.2k with 5 years warranty now. Make the choices between the 2.

Well, that's what their PDF spec says, alongwith newegg and primeabgb. Seasonic did used to sell them with 3 years' warranty. To be on the safe side, its best to check on the box itself to see if its with 5 years or 3 years warranty rather than trusting the word from a dealer, to be on the safer side.

oh, not with their PSUs. CX series has 3 yrs & VX and above has 5 yrs.

btw @OP
you can also consider Tagan TG 500 for 3.2k. Its a good one too, and is 80+ PSU. Has 3 yrs warranty i think [just confirm].
 
My friend bought the same PSU 3-4 months ago and it came with 3yrs warranty.

@OP, WHy not a Phenom II X4 965 + Asus M785TD-EVO instead of those 8300 + g44 ?

I would suggest FSP based on its price and performance!! It's the much better comparing to Tagan and CM i used before...
