Thanks. I was not aware of this site. It also has lots of useful information in their "knowledge base" section.

Pepperfry - another interesting site.... Not just for telescopes.
BUT hold it you are wrong - for land use ONLY "Refractive" scopes will work [as mentioned earlier many times]

Both the above chosen scopes are almost the same @RajeshJ and @Praks.

Have you had a look at this one - Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ Telescope ~ 7949/- This is a more rugged alternative than the "powerseeker-70az" -which has a lot of plastic parts, including the finder scope and the 3X barlow. The astromaster comes with better eyepieces and includes a sturdier alt-az mount with a 'pan-tilt' handle - this ensures a smoother and more accurate tracking (this is absent in the powerseeker & skywatcher model too - where tracking is done by holding onto the main barrel). It's slightly more expensive but worth it.

Lastly - check for samples of 'actual' image views.

Sir, Read all about it. 8k is bit high on pocket for starter like me. Anything in 5k range is good enough to start for a new bie.
