Go to the nearest Big Bazar. They stock a large variety of vacuum cleaner. Go for the highest rated motor in your budget and check other functionality yourself.
I use two vacuum cleaners - both made by Eureka Forbes. After sales service is very good. One is big - used for cleaning the house. Other one is small and portable cost me around 2K which is used to clean the car and sofa and smaller items. Quite handy - but can not be used for cleaning where there are lots of dirt as the dust chamber is small.
