My config:
amd phenom x3 720be
mobo: biostar ta790gx a3+
ram: xms3 2*4 (8gb)
psu: cm 500w
win7 enterprise and xp pro.
**system isnt oced atm.

I have shifted to pune due to job and the system is used by my bro just for web, movies, music and project work.
Off late, the system started hanging but no BSODS. I did some rnd and the system worked perfectly for 20 days but now since past 4 days, in 15-20mins the monitor shows amber light and the system hangs and i have to reboot it.
I did memtest from bios and found the culprit that 2 of my mobo ram slots/banks gone kaput.
Tthe other two slots are working good but facing the same issue. I tested individual ram in every slot but more or less the result is same.

I dont intend to upgrade my good old system as it hasnt much usage but just basic ones.
The psu, hdd etc seems to be fine. I had been juggling between mobo and ram and think mobo is kaput somewhere or other.

Here are the images taken from memtest:
Faulty slots, Bank 2 and 4:- Showing improper ram info...See CAS MHz & DDR1 Values. Its for any ram inserted in these 2 faulty slots.

Good slots, Bank 1 and 3- shows proper info.

Also, in either of the above tests, system says the memory test is completed without any errors...strange.

So guys suggest a very vfm but good am3 mobo. Esp. one with an onboard vga.

CAS 2.5 on DDR3 sticks? :p None of the slots are showing the right info, but this is usually a bug with Memtest. If its not showing errors in Memtest its not a memory problem. Sounds more like an issue with the IGP. You can probably borrow a dedicated GPU to verify.

Anyway, a decent board is the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3.

I already have a gpu- 9800gt and a nvidia quadro.
It seems, the gpu and igp isnt interfering.

I managed to connect to two of my friends contacts having same mobo and their memtest too shows similar data but they arent facing any issue with their system.
I have tested this on my IGP and also on two GPUs but issue still persists. Also tried another psu and harddrives.
What could be wrong?
I dont want to invest unnecessarily on another mobo unless confirmed this ones got kaput.

Could you get different RAM stick ?
Tried with everything different... ram, gpu, psu, hdd, psu. Also tried moving the whole system to a different location in house...
Didnt tried: led, keyboard, mouse, proccy, new os....i guess these have nothing to do with it. Coz no bsods or minidumps generated....just random system reboots either frequently or once in 2 days.
