Hey Guys!
My XFX's HD5770's fan died yesterday!:(

I'm looking for a new fan, but unable to find one.

So, please suggest me as IDK anything about VGA cooling.

Also preferably mention the sites where you can purchase them online.

Thanks!

Is the card out of warranty, if not go and apply for RMA.
  • will save you money;
  • just might get lucky and get a better performing card.

Anyways, if you want to add a VGA cooler then hit these sites -- Theitdepot - Lian Li Graphics Card Cooler (BS-08B) / Cooling Systems / Cooling Devices / Overclockers Zone.

Hope this helps and happy gaming [soon]. Cheerio!!

Thanks for the suggestion ALPHA!

Unfortunately, it's out of warranty!

How about this

Brand new ARCTIC COOLING ACCELERO L2 PLUS VGA Cooler for NVIDIA and AMD Radeon (Rs. 1957)

@GameR1120, which cabinet do you have and how are the fans arranged?

I ask because the fan you have earmarked will blow hot air right onto the processor heat-sink so if the airflow is poor, the ambient temperatures will rise and it will be detrimental to the overall temperatures of your system components.

P.S. -- A very happy birthday, best wishes for the future and many more to come.

Regards,

Thanks for your concern!

BTW, I have a generic case.

But don't worry I have a case fan installed which acts as an exhaust(or whatever you call it:P).

Thanks again.

I ordered it just now from an international ebay seller and it's expected to be delivered by 18th.

I will post my temp improvements asap!!

Also, do you recommend applying thermal paste?

Thanks for the guide!
I'll definately apply fresh TIM then.
Can you suggest some of them, as I dont wanna end up purchasing an uneffective one.

If you know somebody from Mumbai you could ask them to buy you used 50mm~70mm fans from Lamington Road. There are these small carts that sell junk but sell these kinda small working fans for dirt cheap (eg. 40mm fan for 10bucks).

Remove the existing fan from your gpu and attach this el cheapo fan (zip-tie it to your heatsink if fitting is a problem) on your graphic card and you should be fine, and all at 20 ~ 30 bucks.

UPDATE-
Was kinda busy to post temperature improvements!
Anyways the idle temperature is down from approx. 49-50C to 38C!
Also the load temperature is down from 84C to 67C. So really "cool" improvements imo

Oh yes! The temperature was measured with MSI Kombustor. So, a synthetic benchmark; and real life performances may vary.

Waiting for your comments! :)
