Guys,
Please suggest me an AC for a 190 sq. ft. room. I'm a working professional living with friends. Never know when I might need to change home/city or go for higher studies(thus leaving the AC at home). So my requirements are as follows -
1) Energy efficiency should be moderate. Not too low but I don't want to pay too much extra for higher efficiency as I might need to sell it after one year.
2) Guarantee and Service quality(whole AC, not just compressor) should be superior and long period. If anything goes wrong, it is me who will have to waste his whole day getting it repaired. Thus no compromises here.
3) I'd prefer a lower tonnage if cost savings (price only, not concerned about electricity in the short term) is good. I can tolerate a few more minutes of heat rather than shelling out extra bucks. I heard that putting a lower tonnage AC in a bigger room damages the AC. Although my understanding of science says that it shouldn't happen, only it should take much more time in cooling. Still you guys can better comment.
4) Don't know about other features like moisture, sleep, bio, blah blah... Please let me know some must-have features to look for.
Room features - Top floor, 1 wall exposed, 2 walls inside house, 4th wall is glass only facing north-east(curtains are there).
It is obvious that since cost is a concern, I'd go for a window AC only.
I'm in Gurgaon, so if some of you think that with my requirements renting an AC would be better, comment on that also. I have ruled out the latter as the rent is too high (6000 per year) and electricity consumption is also high(supposedly).
