Plz follow the format so that ppl can help you better

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 925 - 7.7k

Motherboard: Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H - 5.6k

RAM: G-Skill 2*2GB DDRIII 1333MHz - 5.7k

GPU: MSI 5850 1GB DDR5 - 16k

Cabinet: NZXT Gamma - 2.2k

SMPS: Corsair VX 550W - 5.8k

Optical Drive: L.G. GH22NS30 SATA/Samsung SH-S22F SATA - 1.1k

Speakers: Altec Lansing VS4121 - 2.8k

Monitor: Samsung P2350 - 10-10.5k~

Keyboard: Logitech Multimedia - .5k

Mouse: Logitech MX518 - 1.4k

Total: 52-53k

This exceeds your budget by 2-3k. But its worth it.

You can save 2-2.5k by going for the Benq 22" monitor Benq G2220HD for about 8-8.5k~ if you are on a tight budget :)

^^great build...

go for this....u can get a GlacialTech 650W @ 4.6k and BenQ G2220HD @ 8k

then it comes within ur exact budget...

Is GlacialTech a good brand? 650w for 4.6k seems cheap.
How much warranty does the PSU carry?
But i guess Corsair == Peace of Mind :)

Re: Suggest a Amd Config

@Karthi007

actually, in performance and efficiency on realtime tests the GP 650 beats even the VX 550. But GP has only 2 yr warranty, and cables are real clutter. Such a PSU should have been modular.

Re: Suggest a Amd Config

how about going for a 4890 so that i can go for a Phenom X4 965be. Will this mobo support that proccy.

sorry forgot to mention I do have mouse, keyboard and speakers

Thank you

Re: Suggest a Amd Config

A 5850 is better than 4890 and is a DX11 card so is future proof.

You have said that you're not going to overclock so the 965 black edition processor would not be of much use to you, but since you will end up saving money on mouse, keyboard and speakers, might as well go for it for the higher clock. Or you could get a full ATX mobo.

hmm ... I know AMD is mentioned in OP, but someone suggest core i5 config naow :bleh:
