Suggest an Inverter

Could you please suggest an inverter from APC for a friend in Panvel. Power Outages last between 5-6 hours?

The only devices he needs to support are a basic PC, Laptop and a Wi-Fi Router.
 
@6pack - Thanks for replying. I couldn't use the APC site so could you please provide me with a link?

I was going through a few third party sites and none of them mention details like duration under different loads.

Apc site is under maintenance. I don't think anyone could mention duration for different loads since the backup time depends on battery AH. Max AH this inverter supports is 180 I think.

I got mine from apc authorized dealer in bhandup. Can give you his number if required.

Edit: the eBay link mentions Max load as 380w whereas it should be 550w. I think he's copied it from 650va sine specification.

Yes but don't go by Bangalore prices. Mumbai prices are 3-5k higher. Also you will get exide IT500 battery instead of the apc battery mentioned and no trolley. Trolley was a plastic one which costs 1500 or so. Mumbai prices would be around 23k for the unit and battery. Don't expect them to do any wiring since they will only deliver the unit. All the home wiring would have to be done by your friend too. Will pm you the number.

The price should not really be a problem but still the price difference is a bit too steep.

Buy the inverter separately and then buy a Exide tubular battery like the IT500 from a dedicated battery dealer,it should be cheaper this way.

Do not go for the APC battery.FYI exide tubular batteries are the best out there.
