Get a cheap one. Get a samsung. These things start wearing out after the first 9 months and start failing to recognize discs after the first year.

Friends,

I went out keep LG in mind, the dealer quote 1250/- for LG, but when I see the price tag it was Rs.1100/-, so I prefer not to pay Rs.150/- premium.

Went for HP as one of my H/W assembler friend suggest me to go with HP & HP IDE easily available, bought HP DVD 1135i/r made by Philips & Lite-On for 1450/- (MRP: 2199/-)

Now my question is shall I continue to use OLD Nero Software which come with my 4 yrs old Sony DVD Writer or shall I must use New Nero 8 comes with HP DVD/RW. Old Nero is small in size (file) compare to new 150 mb.

Just get rid of that heavy weight Nero and switch to Cyberlink power2go. Its light weight and its interface is superb and very impressive than roxio easy cd/dvd burner. Take my words and you will be very satisfied...

I suggest.... ASUS... As using from last 2 years+ & I write average 20 DVD/ month....
It's awesome... if U can't find it then go for LG...
