I need to purchase a new sata 2.5" HDD from my laptop.
500 gb
Pls suggest which brand to go for?

looking for good quality and long life with high warranty yrs.

Some say that Hitachi HDD are very gud...!

pls suggest.

Wd/Hitachi both are good...
(Hitachi is owned by WD now)

why is there such a difference .... in price between 500Gb & 1TB Hitachi

the 500GB one is 7200 rpm they more costly & run hotter than 5400 rpm drives imho best avoided in laptops
