Audio Suggest cans with budget of 15k

Even I got to hear the M50s few days back .Amazing cans for the price :D Anything under 7k is a decent deal. 6k with warranty is perfect. Also it could be driven fairly well directly from my Fuze !!
 
Hm-602 ...:ashamed: ....but really now that its out its DAC is being praised !

uDAC is cheap enough (...good also ) .....or you can get the best headamp pico DAC ...will cost you 15 K i think ...but you wont have to upgrade in future when you get HD800

HM-602 also under preorder ....the ones who ordered 2 months back still have not recieved them ....if you order now expect atleast 1 month late delivery ...also they exeed your budget ...

so i'd say get the uDAC the price on ebay is irresistable ....3.5 ......save and get high end stuff later! ...uDAC will work nicely with m50
 
uDAC will work well with M50 but will give it a slight warm/ forward sound. It will make the bass ,lower mids and some part of the treble more enhanced. Don't buy it if you want very neutral or dark kind of signature. Buy it if you want a fun sounding yet very detailed DAC . Also it's sounstage is very good for the price :).
 
no ..no first hand experience here
but have read the uDAC offers pritty good bass detail ( M50 are great with bass ) ...thats why suggested ..also seldom i have heard of them having bad synergy with HPs.

...but yeah ....its better to read impressions ......BUT DAMN its cheap ...if i am not wrong ....the going rate of uDAC was higher at TE members market

Pico DAC too may take time to deliver. The indicated time is tentative, it might actually take some more time: HeadAmp Audio Electronics (Order). Why not order a Pico DAC + Amp for about $449?

Instead, if you are looking only at USB based solutions, uDAC-1, uDAC-2, Audinst MX-1 all could be great budget choices.

rallynut on HFV has both uDAC and M50. I guess it should drive M50. Edited: He said it drives them very well at 11 o' clock for him. His volume preferences are a little higher than mine from what I gather. So, YMMV. But, uDAC does drive M50 well.
 
Ok, i just bought an M50 yesterday. So far i feel they're pretty easy to drive.

Oh i love love love its Fun sound. :D

Swedish house Mafia never sounded better!!! ;)
 
Yeah, i've started to like the House sound even more after i got these headphones. Dubstep too sounds awesome with these.
 
...^ yeah as indeed interesting the new unit as per him sounds better (new and after burnin also)

this made me wonder ....the difference in the manufaturing batch of the same model also makes a difference ..!! ....makes me quite said ....you can never be too sure if you are getting what you paid for!!
 
It doesn't matter if you like the sound :) . Anyways, the differences are subtle.

I would also prefer the newer one since i listen to metal, so its better for me since i have the 2010 version
