Suggest Chronograph Wristwatch

Hi Guys,
I am looking to buy a analog chronograph wristwatch.
Dial shape: Round ,Dial colour Black and Metal silver belt.
Mainly I was looking at Casio Edifice and Timex.
I am having strict budget of 5.5k. My wrist is not that broad and good Casio Edifice are going above budget.

Requesting your views on it and also suggest any other option.

Any Specific reason for Chronograph ? Edifice chrono wont fit the budget so wont Timex.I would suggest you to go for a multi hand Casio Edifice.Other brands can't match the Edifice if you decide to shop in price range between 4-12K.
 
Actually I have a edifice
Its just a 9 months old
Bought from watchkart
It stopped working 2-3times and would work again after few days
I was disappointed
Couldnt find a casio service centre in mangalore
Took it to a titan shop to check if battery was the culprit
They checked and said battery is fine
But from that day is working fine
May be it was getting stuck

But I lost a little faith
Saw a titan watch with a friend
If was a Chrono and not just a multi hand like mine
Both are 5k though
His is better looking I felt
 
You should have called up the service centre in B'lore coz it's under warranty.I have a EF-558D chrono and I have no regrets.

Even I've the same Q. Why chronograph and not the good old digital watch? Is it purely a style issue or is there something more to an analog chronograph watch that a digital watch doesn't have?
See if you can get a coupon or a better deal on Fossil Decker. Currently 5846 on flipkart. Has a silicone strap though.
 
hey, guys thanks for your replies.. Yeah I saw the watches in local store here... Casio edifice looks more clear finishing compare to timex... now thinking of going for multifunction casio edifice... let me know if there are any good options..
 
Using edfice for 4 yrs + Its great . Go for it . BTW I also use citizen ecodrive and seiko 5 and 4to 5 casio digital watches including GShock 6900 whis has phase of moon and tide graph .:)
 
Best bet for a chronograph in India is the Edifice series. Have 2 of them, and they run well. Remember to pull the crown out, when not using them. Saves battery...!

@ayaskant12 - was it purchased from a local outlet with a stamp on the Casio's warranty card? Asking this because there are several fakes (mostly QC rejects) of Casio watches found online esp. on eBay for a much cheaper price that lures a lot of curious folks out there.

I have a Timex expedition chrono. with a comparatively smaller dial (most chronos. have a bigger dial!), indiglo and alarm functions (model - T42351) and other than the recent battery and the strap change, this watch has lasted me well until today. Purchased it back in August 2009. It has a leather strap so wore out pretty quickly due to sweat. Looks pretty good on small arms like mine.
