  1. What is your budget?
    • Don't have committed budget but anything under 20K Rs would be perfect.
  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz - 7 yreas OLD
    • Motherboard - Intel DG33FB - 7 yreas OLD
    • GPU - Sapphire RADEON HD 5670 - 1GB DDR5 - PCIe v2.0 x16
    • RAM - DDR2-SDRAM 4 GB [2Gbx1, 1Gbx2]
    • Monitor - Samsung CRT VGA - VERY OLD 17" - Working Fine
    • SMPS - Corsair CX 430 V2
    • Keyboard & Mouse - Logitech Combo MK200 USB
    • iBall Cabinet. with 1x120mm fan + 1x80mm Fan
    • HDD - WDC 250 GB Sata
  3. Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)

  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • CPU - Intel or AMD based ( Any of them )
    • Motherboard - any compatible motherboard.
    • RAM - 4 GB
    • Monitor - 21" LED HDMI [ if fits into my budget.. can extend budget by 1to2k more to fit the monitor]

    • Mumbai - Lamington road... i have been buying regularly from PrimeABGB.. when they give a gud pricing. but open to anyone.

    • Gaming - latest PC games... waiting GTA 5 - PRIMARY REASON
    • Browsing
    • Download - torrents
    • Watching HD movies.

    • None but looking for gud warrenty duration and after sales service.
  10. If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
    • played games - Metro last light, Max Payne 3, Tomb Raider latest one.
  11. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
    1. not an issue.. should be supported by my GPU and games
  12. Are you looking to overclock?
    • NO.
  13. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows 7 64 bit
Budget ~ 20K Rs but can increase 1 to 2K to fit the Monitor... .
But without Monitor ~ 15K Rs
Time period : looking ahead for next 5 years

I hav roughly finalized ... my config for upgrade:
FX 6300 (7200)
G.Skill ripjawsX 1600 MHz 4 GB 2.2k
Asus M5A97 R2.0(6100)

Sometime later .. after a month..
Dell st2240L 22" LED monitor (8500) + GPU (GPU if possible.)

Also I am trying to SELL off my existing components: -
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz - FULLY FUNCTIONAL
RAM: DDR2-SDRAM 4 GB [2Gbx1, 1Gbx2] - FULLY FUNCTIONAL
MOBO: Intel DG33FB - DEAD
 
i too am looking to upgrade from my q6600 setup..and have finalized the fx 6300 .8 gb ripjaws and m5a97 evo

if u could just bump up your budget a lil..u should too go for the evo motherboard....it has digi vrms...and ocs better

Will that play a good amount of significat role... in performance...life of the parts???

Mumbai.....availability seems to be an issue at the moment...prime does not have it..i checked on deltapage price list...its close to 7.5ks
 
guys even i am lookin for a upgrade from my dual core asus motherboard and 1b ddr2 ram..i want mobo+ram+cpu till 10k or 11k..im frm mumbai any suggestions..

Also the Quote for Dell ST2240L 22" LED monitor was Rs 9100 -- will be buying later.
