Camera Suggest Digi Camera Under 10K

would stuggest Canon A590.... best thing under 10k...

though if u can spend 1k over 10... go for the A720IS.... amazing camera :)
 
Actually its difficult to find A720IS because Canon has introduced A1000IS and A2000IS (which are nowhere near A720IS in performance or features) and they don't want A720IS to eat into their sales. So, you probably won't find it in the big, popular shops like JJ Mehta but might spot it in lesser known shops.

Features seem good enuf but the looks aren't !
 
^^ No actually what b_naresh said is quite true actually. The A1000IS has a shorter (4x vs 6x on the A710/A720) and slower lens.

Add a smaller burst speed and a few other omissions and you will see that the A1000IS is a step down rather than a step up or a matching camera.
 
I think the A2000IS has the 6X zoom but they dumbed down the new series by removing the manual controls. Also, the A720IS had exceptionally good image quality which the new cameras can't match. They also removed the EVF and improved the LCD resolution.
