Suggest: DVD Player

I need to buy a DVD player which should be capable of playing everything.. I mean DivX, Mp3, Photos and even scratched CDs & DVDs..

Which would also have good quality audio and video support. Budget around 4-5k..
 
^^check out the LG DH192 (not sure about the model no. tho) it plays everything plus it got usb host, which means u can play movis off ur usb hdd

also, check out Tech-Com players for a cheaper deal. model number might be 3300 and 3100. these cost 2300buks max.
 
You can also go for Philips or Onida players. But I do not know if Onida players can read from USB. However they read scratched CDs and DVDs very well.
 
get philips , its one of the best and has been in this lineo f dvd players for a long while , a no brainer
 
^^could you give us some model numbers please??? also, is there any model which supports reading from usb hdd?
 
I saw a Philips DVP 3166 for 3499/- @ a store in Mumbai(had USB + DivX).

I dint need the USB functionality so went for DVP 5150.
 
The philips 3166 has usb support... but this reads only from flash memory and not HDD.... i dont know whether the LG DH 192 reads from HDD.....

Philips 5150 is a good one... wiht 7.1 channel support, plays Divx for 3.6K
Philps 3166 is a latest one... with 5.1 channel, plays divx with usb support for 3.5k....

i suggest u go for the 3166
 
What about Philips DVP5965K/96.. It has HDMI and USB too.. but it has an inferior audio system compared to Philips 5150...
