he has to wait for almost a month to get the Dell, if he can wait its fine, otherwise he'll have to settle for viewsonic 2235wm for similar price.

^ IMHO invest in a good cabinet like cm stacker and good monitor for now.

Emphasize on more hdd storage space.

They shall outlast ur other purchases.

No use going for very expensive mobos and proccies.

You'll get a better bargain in the next few months.

Instead get a cheapo C2D, SLI mobo, good cooling and oc like hell.

Spend the rest on 8800 GTX (forget the ultra). Buy another GTX for SLI next year.

You can always get better mobos and proccies when prices drop further.

Quadies are not worth as not many multithreaded optimizations yet, plus not good overclockers and not true quadies. Penryns, Yorkfields wud be the norm next year.

This Is The Configuration I'm going to buy, with that extra money left I'm thinking of buying a good keyboard like the G15/Lycosa/Tarantula Anybody knowa about its prices and where to buy it from....

I saw CM690 on its website and it looks like the best cabinet for its price point where is it available in lammy/mumbai for that price?.. I wont be CO'ing anytime soon too so what is the best mobo....

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 8K

MOBO - ABIT PRO - 9 K KMD

RAM - 2x1 gb cossiar xm2 800 mhs 4.9K

LCD - Dell 22" E228WFP 16 k\viewsonic 2235wm

GPU - Sapphire HD2900PRO 512MB 18k approx

KEyboard+mouse ... Logitech G1 Gaming Desktop @ 1.2k, Take either the CM Stacker Evo 830/ The Antec 900, If you really have the cash Phoenix has put up an offer for the Corsair XM2 @800 mhz with platinum heat spreaders 4.9k+shipping with a 10 year warranty 100% swap no questions asked.... if you are planning to invest in the DDR3 then dont buy this..

tangentray.. please think twice and make sure that you know wat you are talking about :). drr3 :)P) costs a hell of a lot more.. in the range of 250usd at a min.. so thats like 15k odd in India...

@aman.. nice config there.. you can get the OLD Logitech G15 for 3490/- @ Croma(Juhu).. Should be avl at the Navi Mumbai showroom also. They have an offer running till the end of this month...

OK , now This rig is for a friend of mine who wants to sped 80K for a rig pretty nicely, hes a complete noobie who doesn't even know what OC'ing is and finds FAR CRY a very boring game, I think he wont be able to utilize this rig to sufficiently :) . So I'm going to suggest some changes and am asking for ur advice :

CPU - E6550

RAM - 2gb Corsair Value Select

LCD - VG1930WM

GPU - XFX8600GTS

smps - 600 w CM

MOBO - ASUS P35(one with DDR2 & DDR3)

SPEAKER - ATP3

Hard Disk - WD 320 GB/ SEAGATE 320 GB

Cabinet - a very visually appealing model as u suggest(like the AMIGO 100% transparent)

a cheaper option here is a decent AMD solution and a sexy GFX , you cant go wrong here . i dont think there are many things which involve a lot of processing power . HD movies and Games will be taken care by the GFX , and nothing else would be taxing enough . an AMD x2 5000 and a good mobo would comes for under 11 thousand . You can just upgrade the mobo and processor later when the penryns and phenoms hit the market :)
