suggest good sound card

guys i need a sound card for my pc right now iam using audio technica m50 headphones and altec lansing 2.1 speakers may upgrade to mx 5021 later.with my current on board sound card getting low volumes for m50 compare to previous mobo which had better onboard sound card.iam using fiio e5 for increasing volume.my budget is 5k can increase if it is VFM
 
the bottle mod's soundcard is pretty Heavy ( on features ). Looks great but there is no way to tell if its as good as they promise .

Xonar ST is the way to go.
 
Yup , using it myself and so does another member Freaky. Google around for reviews

also @OP, you looking to upgrade to surround setup in future ?
 
Asus has Xonar Essence ST and STX. There is a subtle difference, I am sure you can find them from the net. We use the ST for most of our audio demo. In my opinion there has not been a better card made at the price point. Both of them come with Headphone Amplifier. (which needs to be connected to the SMPS with the power cable). Both of them are internal sound card and caters to mostly audiophile community. I am not sure of its gaming ability, as I use the playstation for my games. ST has a upgrade for 7.1 just in case someone needs to upgrade the PC for movies etc...
