Hi guys,
I want to buy a good pair of earphones,my budget will be 3k MAX.(Please dont suggest even if it costs rs.3001)
Earphones - Headphones & Amps
This is the page which contains good ear phones in my budget.
Primary requirement is Bass and sound quality would be next.
Also please let me know if this site is reliable and do they really ship in the estimated shipping time mentioned at the check out page.
Will be buying soon so please suggest asap. :)

Look at these --
By the way, you have not mentioned what is your source (MP3 player / mobile phone -- which brand, model).

Read up before buying the suggested IEM's, your personal music and tastes mean that the models we have suggested you might be far from the truth you seek in your audio.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

MP4Nation manufactures Brainwavz. FedEx shipping is quick and mostly hassle free as they keep an invoice for a lower value to avoid customs. But, if a few people order the same day and a few of them end up for clearance at the same clearance desk, he would probably be levying a duty (and FedEx would charge a customs clearance fee). That may be the only downside, which has less chance of happening.

If your budget inclusive of all is 3K (Paypal Conversion fee OR CC transaction charges of 3.5% + Service tax should also to be taken into account), you would be restricting yourself to those which are $50 and below. I only see M4, E10M and Dunu Trident with bass there. You can buy E10M locally around Rs. 2K+ without that shipping hassle. I don't think anybody has tried Dunu Trident, so can't say how good is that. M4 is a little of an acquired taste. I liked it, but I will not recommend it to everybody.

I think Brainwavz M2 is better and from what I've read, GR02BE as well. You can get both locally - M2 from @PristineNote and GR02BE from hifinage (@abhi_jollyguy). I think GR02BE is around your budget, but M2 is slightly above (?). You may be better off reading a bit on both before taking a plunge.

Thanks for the reply.
I would be listening to House and Hip hop music so Bass would be a priority. And i would be using my iPod Touch and sometimes my Blackberry 9220 to listen to songs.

You do not need an amp for everything, certainly not M4 or any of those mentioned here so far.

In general, an Amp is required only in situations where the IEM fails to get the right amount of current and voltage from your source. It depends on the IEM's impedance and sensitivity. An Amp basically adds loudness (more power) and the better ones among them have better grip/control over the IEM's drivers (but they are not cheap). Most of the regular budget IEMs are designed to be driven out of normal mobile phones and low powered sources, so you'd do fine without an amp.

Usually, when you get your first amplifier, you may get excited. Higher power - more loudness, better sound stage etc., In general, we perceive anything louder to be better because ears do not have to strain to hear some of the details. Coming to E6, I've not tried it myself. I have only used E5, which was a basic amplifier with bass boost thrown in. I did not like it that much, but E6 seems to have improved upon it. I am not sure how better it will make iPod Touch's output though. You can read the review of E6 here: http://www.techenclave.com/reviews-previews/fiio-e6-headphone-amplifier-review-128974/#entry1731474

M2 and GR02BE, IMO are much easier to recommend than M4's V-shaped sound. You will find some impressions in this thread where some liked it (from this page on) and some not so much.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
From what you said it seems that an amp is required only for headphones which sound flat and a bit low on volume. And these headphones are not one of those. But the guy in the review mentioned "This amp. is for the people who think that their earphones sound the best with their iPod"
Seriously speaking, after reading that review i am more inclined towards getting that amp.

@manojbhagat

Firstly tell us about your source. If it is mobile so the SQ as well as loudness will not be there to match up any good PMP i.e., clip+ or Nationite Nanite N2. So Instead of getting any portable amplifier, you should get the PMP first and I am sure that after getting it, you won't be asking for the amp again.

Which generation iPod is it?

Here are what the Clip+ and Nationite N2 are -- SanDisk Sansa Clip+ Plus Review | Anything But iPod / Sansa Clip+ Review: Big Sound, Tiny Body / Nationite Nanite N2 MP3 Player Review | Technoodling.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!
Its a 2g,running 4.2.1
I went through those links. So you mean to say that these players are a better substitute to the amps.?
And is their output more than that of my iPod?
Also,do these amps. only amplify headphones or will it amplify any thing connected to it?(For eg. AUX wire)

I dunno, the Clip+ is pretty much equal OR slightly better than the iPod (any generation) when it comes to sound-quality and once you RockBOX it, the iPod is firmly in the dust. The equalizer is superior and so is the file support (with support for file formats like -- .ogg and .flac).

The Nationite N2 is a player that has a more powerful amp capability than the iPod OR the Clip+ but it does not have the RockBOX option (unstable builds do exist) and its UI is a bit quirky and takes getting used too.

The Clip+ is more nuanced player than the iPod and once RockBOX-ed becomes less louder, the Nationite N2 has a more powerful amp inbuilt so it can drive harder IEM's easier.

I do not know about AUX wire, but I think no because I have tried that in the car stereo system (with my RockBOX Clip+) and the volume was lower than compared to the iPod OR Nokia E-series handset.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

I am getting more and more confused :(
What is rockbox? Is it an equilizer?(Googled it and it said its a firmware)

All i want is maximum bass in minimum price.
So please suggest me what should i go for?
I would appriciate just 1 reply as 2 or more replies tend to confuse me:P
Thanks :)

RockBOX is a custom firmware for PMP's and MP3 players. Older generation of iPod's are also supported.

The main advantage of RockBOX over the conventional firmware is that it opens a lot of options, a better and more expansive equalizer is in place to tinker with.

If you are going to use the stock iPod nothing is wrong, try to go for the BRAINWAVZ M2 OR VSONIC GR02 Bass edition OR GR99.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Only @PristineNote sells it in India OR MP4Nation (the proprietors of the BRAINWAVZ lineup) and both do not have a CoD model of payment.

So, make your mind. Cheerio!
