Suggest me a Light weight Laptop

Guys , Suggest me a light wieght laptop as i travel more.. so weight is a big issue, have a netbook but its too sluggish.. so thinking of a laptop with good processor...pls suggest me one ...
 
Check out the Dell Vostro 3350 with the sandybridge Intel i5 - 2410/2510, Ati radeon 6470(512mb), 8 cell battery and 13.3 inches @ Rs.44,000.
 
if ur usage is average like surfing on the go , u can well have a look at acer 4738Z basic laptop with PDC P6200/2gb/500gb/14inch ~20k
 
^^The Thinkpad x201 has been replaced by the Thinkpad x220 worldwide. Prices start from 850~900 US$ and you can get an extended battery which will power it for 23 hours straight. I called up Lenovo's toll free number last week about this very laptop and they had no idea what I was talking about. I am tired of us Indians getting the cold shoulder all the time.

Yes.. thats why I mentioned the x201. I dont think sandy bridge thinkpads have come to India yet.

(and with the opinion most people have of Thinkpads in India, I can see why they dont treat us as a priority market)
 
Sony SB16 is the closest to your requirements but it wil cost you 53k(best deal)

Try the acer timeline series lappys. they are quite light ~ 1kg. Huge screen (15.5" if i remember correctly), full sized keyboard and decent storage (~300gigs).

The processing power is somewhere between a netbook and a laptop. Plays full hd videos effortlessly etc. but wont be suitable for even mildly intensive gaming.

You can go for sony vaio VPCSB16FG if you are looking for a 13.3 incher in vaio range, it comes with i5-2410+AMD 6470 with graphics switching mode+lightweight aluminium and magnesium body and the usual 4gb ram,320GB HDD etc..
 
Sony SB16 looks a good bet.. so wanna sell of my present lappy.. HP Pavilion dv6-1215ee , anyone can tell me how much can i sell it for?
 
If processor is not an issue, then you shouldn't look any further than the MSI X340 and X360... awesome models.. also just 20K!
