hey guys,

A friend of mine needs a laptop, please suggest me a good one.

Budget - 25K-30k

Brand - Acer last preference.

Screen - 15"k.

@dark - just basic usages, office, web surfing & movies. It'd be nice if it can play HD movies too. And also, little gaming.

HP 431 - Its a small-medium business laptop with switchable graphics(512 Mb Ati 6470 + Intel HD 3000-2Gb shared) and brilliant build quality. I bought it 3 days back from this very seller(check link). It was shipped to me in 3 days from Chennai (by First Flight Couriers). It comes with Windows 7 Home premium licensed and 1 year of standard warranty from HP.
 
Have already checked it & liked it too ;)

but my friend has bit strict budget, so.. first preference will be lappies of 25-27K, then we will decide.

^Hope you are working on a review as usual :) Not much reviews around for the HP 43x and the HP 63x series in the net.

Edit: @sunny27 - The link you gave states 'dealer warranty' - 6 months!
 
^^^^^^no i got it validated from hp's website. You need to register and validate it online for 1 year warranty. The laptop isn't for, it is for my sister, who is studying Product Design in NID and will be using software like 3dMAX and Maya, Autocad 2011/2012,Rhino, etc as well as other software.
