I completely agree with Maya2009 , an IPS will serve u better and personally i feel the LED monitors over saturated .
I have a Dell U2410 and a LG 24"LED monitor next to it(friends) . The LG LED blows out most of the colors .

Also what is the basic purpose ?
And may i add do keep in mind that some of these monitor have only the very basic tilt settings and all , can get really annoying .
