U2410 picture quality is unbeatable,Also VK278Q is not even E-IPS so if op is getting excellent picture quality and great assistance which dell has it'd better to go with U2410,As we know Asus A.S.S is poor.

I too have been inclined towards the dell despite ASUS being 27 inch.

Dell Ultrasharp U2410 looks really solid i must say.

Don't know if you have already made your purchase but, I have recently bought the PA246Q and it is beautiful in terms of colour and build. It is a more recent model than the Dell 2410 and has edged it out in several reviews that I have seen. The moot point might be Asus' after sales service but I have had some exceptional after sales service from them.

I bought it for Rs. 29500 including air fare from Mumbai. So it should be around 28.5k - 29k. You can google several reviews. One of the more prominent review is
