After losing couple of cellphones within a small timeframe I've decided no more high end phones 4 regular usage. so planning to get a mp3 player. Suggest me a sturdy, good sounding and supporting easy available docking accessories mp3/video player within 10k. The price/performance ratio should count as well. The more rugged, the better. Also flash based players are better or hdd based ones?

does a lot of space matter to you??? then HDD players are the best bet.
if you want a solid player that wont break if u drop it and you don't need to carry your whole house then get a flash based player which i would suggest Cowon D2

How is the reliability factor when it comes to cowon D2? A lot of space does not really matters to me but minimum of 10GB is needed and yea flash based ones is what I'd like to have and the thing should not hang too much. A support for external card for flash based device is also one of most important thing that I'm looking for that Cowon D2 has.

get a 4gb zen + 4 GB SD card --
u can use the internal memory for songs and the sd card for videos as the data in the sd card does not integrate in the music library ..
with the rest of the money u can buy good headphones.
cowon d2 is also a great sounding player..
remember .. all the stock earplugs are crap...IMHO .. u have to invest in good ones to get the best of any mp3 player..
