Hi,

I have recently purchased a house and is in construction phase now. I am planning to get the solar water heater and solar inverter. Need some help from you guys.

Did my research over net and found few companies. I found a dealer in hyderabad who stocks a lot of Solar products. He suggested me Sudarshan saur 200L at 34K ( Including installation) and the solar inverter at 20K.

The water heater model he has shown has 5yr warranty and electrical backup as well. The inverter can back up 3 lights and 2 fans.

Are the solar products really worth the money?

Also need a water purifier in 15K for long term use.

Thanks

This thread is almost an year old, so I am assuming you may have taken some decisions and gone for some solar stuff. I am also looking to "solar-ize" my house as much as possible. Solar water heater, solar inverter system, etc. I live in Chennai though. If you happen to gather more info, please do post here for everyone's benefit. Like what brand, model, specifications, cost etc.

Yes..

The solar water heaters cost between 17 to 27k depending on brand for 100LPD.17k being sudarshan saur and 27k being bosch. Also heard from the seller that if you have hard water go with Sudarshan saur. Also the technology is Sudarshan is good.

For Power there are two models. one with 2 batteries and other with 4. It costs between 1.4L to 1.6L for 1kv. It can be either Sukam or some other.

Note: I got some issues with my builder so the house is in construction phase. I will definitely go with the soalr water heater. I need to think about the power as it is very costly as of now.
