Suggest some FPS games

Need to kill time to overcome depression and frustation....
Last games i enjoyed playing were COD, medal of honor, etc....please suggest some food FPS games which will run on my decent system.
 
Depression? Frustration? Painkiller's the game for you.
Vent out your frustrations on those those demons!

how about:
1)Brother In Arms:Earned In Blood - havent played it but seems good.
2)Lost Planet...played the demo...really cool
3)HL2 - an all time favourite..
4)Splinter cell
5)COD2 ??
That shud do for a while...
 
Try more games based on the Q3 engine. They would run well on your rig.

another vote for painkiller...play it on the hardest level, thats fun

Get Company of Heroes!!!

You might not be able to play it on high resolution, but it's still totally worth it! I have a Dell XPS Gen2, with a centrino CPU, 6800Ultra laptop version and 1 Gb ram... It plays nice and smooth @ 1024x768. You get a better experience then you'd think, especially since the gameplay of CoH is so awesome. Get into multiplayer and you won't be able to stop. :hap2:

I usually play it on my 24" monitor @ 1920x1200 though, and ohboyisitamazing! :clap:

Also, another thing that will make you happy is upgrading your graphics card. For $200-300 you can get a DX10 card that will make your games melt like butter. Spend a little more and you'll find yourself with a gigantic 8800 GTX (although the 8800Ultra is $800+... what a joke!)
 
Oops, I forgot about the FPS part... sorry! Still though, if you're going to play a strategy game, you don't get much more adrenaline than CoH... and when you get a direct howitzer hit on an idle enemy squad, the size and magnitude of the explosion and the complete annihilation of the entire enemy squad will ensure that you'll never turn back ;)
