Hey guys, I have Croma vouchers worth 8k, and feeling the need to go for a split AC for an L shaped drawing room.

What tonnage, what brand do you suggest?

My top-up to 8k would be 15-16k max.

Thanks in advance!

^ I think he means that he can spend 16 k + 8 k in vouchers. But yes, there are too many AC threads right now. Makes sense to club them all together.

Thought this summer my question, though a very common one would serve others who're seeking for new ACs.

Older posts are old, if I dig them out, then it will be said that's a really old post.

Fresh summers, fresh post, fresh offers and fresh suggestions.

But it's your call, admin.

Dude, did you check the link that i have posted??? Not that i am complaining. The link for the post was opened on March 19th 2012 and its not old. Come on, people in this forum spend time for you to help you. But you are not even bothered to check what they have specified.

You wouldnt have said that its a old post if you would have checked it. Anyways All the best and Good luck for your purchase.

also, if he had spent some time on searching in TE itself for this, he would have already got some idea about popular brands and wud have almost got an idea how much to spend and what will he get for 24K.

No offence meant. But yes, search solves lot of issues.

Hey, thats great! I recently bought a 1 tonn Blue Star Split AC for around 17k and it works great. I feel if you have a drawing room with good space you can go for a 1 ton Split AC as it would give your drawing room great cooling.

lol . . . The original thread creator has vanished. why do we even bother to respond to lame newbies who post without even checking.

Maybe there should be a rule - new threads not allowed unless xxx and / or yyy conditions by newbies are fulfilled.

Lame newbies? You are lame, because you could have suggested something to me rather than suggesting the admins with an imbecile thought on post cap, which they would probably never listen to. And I had vanished seeing the reception I got from the fellow members saying I should search or dig out old posts which wouldn't fulfill what I needed *currently* at that time. Also, fyi, creating topics with a difference of 2 weeks does bring in a huge response change, considering some hot offers which could be suggested by anyone who reads this thread.

I don't know if mods approve this or not, but this surely shall be read by someone here.

Late update for all: Had bought the Voltas Platina 1.5 3* from Croma and used my 8k voucher, since my finance nitrogen-ed a bit. :p
