Suggest VFM home wifi router

hi all,

please suggest VFM home wifi router that will do well for a 600 sq. ft. 1BHK.

Use: net surfing with torrents downloading on laptop & mobile

Budget: around 1.5k

Get the cheapest one. Belkin N150. If you can double your budget, go for the ASUS RT N13 U ver B1, get it and download torrents on that instad of your laptop.
 
Thers a nice buffalo router that can cover till about the road ahead of your house, another something youd wanna check is the ability to load a custom firmware on it for better tweaking.
 
+1 for asus rt n13u with usb - you can plug in ur hdd and download without having your pc on. If downloading is a must then i would suggest you to go with a router that has a usb port
 
Both should be good. I have 2 friends using belkin n150 and one friend using netgeaer and they all are satisfied. If you want more range get n300 and not n150.
 
@OP,

The netgear model you mentioned is already EOL, if you want netgear go for WNR1000 else belkin N150 will serve the purpose.

I really like the after sales service of belkin though.
 
I have DLink DIR 524, and it works well for me!

Bought it in a local store..

Speeds are good.. LAN Write Transfer speeds are about 5MBps, But thats ok..

Just check it out!
