Laptops Suggestion for a lappy

Okk i dont think nyone will gt a lappy for me frm abroad..so thinking better to get it frm here only budget ard 40k......max till 50k

requirment::1gb ram(or min 512mb),80gb hdd,will go for 14 inch screen......
and if seperate gfx processer well and good....and most imp dvd rw in it+ bluetooth-wifi facility......and if its intel c2d well and good.....
minimum 4 hours battery life

i know i can get a c2d one but had to compromise on bluetooth+dvdrw and also may b screen size stuff too

today saw and add abt dell offer in paper ard 46k with taxeslappy....but ithad a cdrw/dvd rom.....

i want to know are sahara ,hcl lappies good.......also

do inform frm which company i must avoid...my frnd has an acer but they having horrible servicing here..and also heard they use damn cheap components......

also if any compaq model available......i m ready to compromise on processer too......but intel only

you can customize the build on the dell India website

the DVD writer upgrade should be a 1-2K upgrade at max

The most reasonable deals on 14" CD/C2D are on Dell and Compaq but Dell offers high levels of customization which compaq dioes not!
 
so u sayi must go 4 dell....the prob is either i saw it l8 and tomm is last day for the dealits the inspiron 640 model only........and i need to buy next month........
btw any other brand on whichi can have a look keepin compaq dell aside
 
don't worry, they'll have another set of deals after this one expires :P and most likely better deals ;)

other than dell, I'd say Compaq....other brands are either too overpriced in India or are crappy!
 
ohh got u...and yup jus saw pc world magazine and they have same deal....till 30th nov...andfor dvd writer price goes 2k high........

btw xps m1210 notebook worth goin????have to get 10-15k more 4 it
 
Go for a DELL & don't worry about the expiry dates on those offers..They're just quick-sale gimmicks for the uninitiated customer..

I'd suggest you go for the 640M model and add whatever addidtional components you need over the base model..

And DON'T FORGET to haggle with these guys..You can easily save 3-4K!!
