Suggestion for BroadBand CPE

Hello Friends,

I plan to go for MTNL Broadband (as in my Area near Mumbai no other better option is available to me)

MTNL Charge Rs.80 for CPE Rental PM and also charge Rs.500 initially for CPE.

And the CPE they provide is some Cheap Made in China HW (They No more provide Dlink Modem).

I want your suggestion that if I Buy CPE made by Dlink from Market

Is this better option?
Which model is better?
And at what cost should I go for it ?

I just subscribed to the MTNL Triband service, see :

Nothing wrong with the modem+router provided - brand new UTStarcom piece. Works well, and if anything happens to it, MTNL will replace it. If the CPE you buy doesn't work or stops working after sometime, you'll be in trouble. And, what if there's a better offer from some other ISP ( and you don't need a modem for that ) ?
