suggestion for CRT television for 21K max

hi,

budget is 21k

Please suggest me a good CRT tv with good picture quality & sound (if possible like inbuilt woofers etc..).
I was thinking of the Philips pixelplus 29" but on the website the price mentioned is 24k. any idea how does this actually sells for in the market and how does this perform compared to others model like LG.

and is there any possibility of getting a philips model with in built woofer.

in that price range the pixel plus tv is good u can blindly go ahead and buy it it retails for around 21500 street price.u can also look at the sony model KV-DZ29M80/50 which costs 24000 in the grey market has slight advantage in picture qulaity.
 
Go for Sony - any 29 inch model. You will love the pic and sound. Most of the models have inbuilt woofer that simply blast. Now they come with Wega gate technology. You will love it for many years to come and the most important thing is that the sound and pic quality do not detoriate over time which happens to many LG and Samsung models. Also the after sales service is great , mostly within 2 working days.

another question. the official specs for the philips pixelplus state that it supports HD video resolutions - 480p, 720p, 1080i & 1080p. is that true?

i think it is truly but virtually HD ready!!!

so will movie making make any difference if i combine it with some DVD player that upscales the video resolution to atleast 1080i???
 
i have seen the upscaled images but i didn't see any improvements when i played movies in my xbox360 which was upscaled to 720p or even 1080p on my sony bravia but there is a hell of a difference whn i play real hd movies.
 
@ adder you have seen the upscaled images (720p) on the pixelplus CRT so is it better than other images seen on samsung/LG models??? i mean the picture clarity and color quality. is it really good??
 
upscaled images on any tvs wont look as good as a real hd content.

i took my xbox360 to showroom a month ago and played HD trailer KING KONG on philips pixel plus it was way better than the samsung or lg tv.but in end i bought a sony lcd.
