Hey,
First off, congrats to dipdude for becoming the very first member of the month on TE! You deserve it dude! :D :clap:

I just wanted to suggest giving the Member of the Month a little star or something under his/her name so that everyone will know that this person is truly a great member of the community! And also, maybe you could have a poll or sticky topic to decide the member of the month each month from now on.

BTW, dunno if this should be in the newsletter section, mods please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong section.

perhaps i didnt get the point in his post here but from what i cud make out of it, he said he wud give a star, that is create a star to be alloted for the member of the month, like an award..

but that would mean bringing back the awards hack which uses the resources, waht id suggest if this is the case is, u go ahead and make that star and MOTM can use it in their signature..

I also suggest some special benifits for member of the months such as relaxed signature rules, perhaps bigger avtars? 120x120?

and maybe a change in user color, this will intice other members to make good posts ;)
 
Member of the months perks will be decided by senior staff only, so no need of discussing it here. Even we dont have a word here. Rave can discuss as he comes in senior staff. :)

And...For deciding the MOTM of the month, we will have strict NO-SPAM thread in the newsletter section at the end of every month.
 
As i said in the other thread..

Congrats DD on the Member of the Month.

But, i dont think that Mod's/Admins/etc. should be allowed to be Member's OTM . (No Disrespect to DD)

Maybe you can have Mod of the Month for that.

The MOTM must be decided over a period of time and considering most of the posts he has made in all the sections..... not in just one section or one thread.
 
OK, new suggestion: Instead of using the awards hack for giving the MOTM stars, how about just adding a second Rank image for 'em which consists of a few stars and no text?

Yes, true, but it's not possible for the mods to know how much everyone is contributing, is it? What I'm suggesting is that the mods pick out 4-5 worthy candidates for MOTM and start a poll to decide which of them should be MoTM. And the poll results should be hidden.

This is what I was talking about...

What did you thought anish, We will make a thread and according to the posts someone makes in that thread, we make him MOTM... :rofl:

It will be a discussion for the decision mate. :)
 
well yeah we do have a poll, but not a public poll for sure, for a few reasons

spam votes :P

and well it looses the suprise factor then... ;)
