Suggestion for Nokia 3230

Hi Friends,

In past few months I take advantage of this Site and can save my self from various WRONG BUY's.

Yes it is all because of helpfull memebrs and friends like all of you.

Here I again need your suggestion on Nokia 3230. All your views in favour or against is welcome and will helpfull to me.

How if I go for 2nd Hand 3230 and at what price should I buy it?

I'd vote against the 3230. It has a rather slow proccesor (123MHz ARM9), just like the 6600, and it has a very cramped and hard keypad. It's not worth the 12k+ price tag. Instead try the 6630. Maybe an old phone but it has a zippy proccessor (220MHz ARM5), stereo sound,... and it would cost under 14k.

Yup 6600 is better in terms of keypad.The keypad especially the joustick of 3230 sucks.

As above ppl suggested,go for a 6630.If u want styling w/o any features go for a Razar V3.
 
The v3 has no memory expansion capabilities. That simply sucks. It just looks great. The newer V3 will have memory expansion and stuff, but that isn't releasing anytime soon now :)

The 3230 has a keypad which lacks proper tactile feedback. Stay away :)

But I want phone with GPRS / FM / and other features equal to 3230.

I choose 3230 as I am aware its features and not knowing much more about other models.

OK, I understood that 3230 is not worth.

Can you suggest any other/more models with same or more features.
 
3230 is not a good phone. 6630, available in the same price range is way better. I reccomend that if you want Symbian, or get k750i.
 
yea the 3230 is terrible. when i bought my 6630 it was like 500 bucks more than the 3230 but easily a 100 times better in terms of performance. i'm not sure about the N series but excluding those, the 6630 has the fastest processor among nokia phones (equal to 6680 i think) as far as i can remember. it's really fast when compared to other nokia symbian phones. imo in that price range, the best deal would be the 6630 since it has almost all the features you can ask for including stereo mp3 playback and 1.3 mp camera. another 'decent' phone would be the 6670 but the audio is mono and is slower than the 6630.
 
actually . the 6630 is the fastest symbian phone around and will remain so. that is because N SERIES phones have the same processor but have increased color depth and more functions to slow them down .
 
My bro had bought a 3230 a few months ago and he sold it off within 2 months as it used to hang a lot and was slower than a sloth..since then i've decided against going for the 3230 or the 7610(mono sound..only looks), I'll definitely recommend the 6630 too as the price is almost similar to 7610..or maybe a tad more.. its zippier than any other nokia barring maybe the N series... its a bit bigger than the 3230, if you can live with its size, then dont even think about the 3230...

Other options to consider are SE W550i (great looks, great camera 1.3 megs, 256 mb built in memory,though no expandable memory slot..14k price tag)

IF you want a gr8 sound quality and mp3 playback, expandable memory but can live with a so-so camera, then you can even consider a Motorola E398..it retails at a 8.5-9k..:)
 
For bluediamond, i HIGHLY recommend the 6230i. She doesnt need the 1.3MP cam, so the 6230 might be fine, but the 6230I comes with double resolution screen thats just awesome! Go for it!

Oh and the w550 cam *IS* better than the 3230 IMNSHO!
 
Yaar Aka, i saw the results of the W550 cam and they were pretty good..though i think that the 6630 cam is better..not sure about the 3230..

Also i went to a cellphone shop near VT today and he advised me to stay away from the 3230 as there were numerous complaints about the cellphone hanging and he offered me the 6630 for 13k wid bill...and i guess it isnt a bad deal at all.. :)
